How far in advance should I order?
The more notice you can give us, the better. Generally speaking, we usually require at least 3 days notice for events less than 100 people, and at least 7 days notice for events over 100 people. During busy seasons or for full-service events that require several members of our staff on-site, additional notice may be required.
That said, life doesn’t always make it easy to plan ahead. In the case of unanticipated catering needs such as a funeral luncheon, please give us a call at 763-521-1113 and we will do our best to make accommodations.
To ensure our availability for your event, we always recommend placing your order as far in advance as possible.
Can you accommodate special dietary needs?
We can absolutely accommodate special dietary needs such as gluten-free meals, vegan meals, vegetarian meals, and other special requests. Just let us know about any special needs or dietary restrictions when you place your catering order.
Do you deliver?
We gladly offer catering delivery within Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the surrounding suburbs. Delivery fees depend on the final delivery destination.
Do you offer a tasting menu?
If you confirm Pickles Catering for your event, we will provide a small sampling at no cost. If you are shopping around and would like to sample, we will charge a fee depending on the samples and associated food costs.

Do you offer disposable utensils/servingware?
Paper products are available for a nominal fee. For chafing dishes and serving utensils, we offer both disposable and equipment rental options.
How will the food be served/presented at my event?
Most items on our menu are served buffet style. For drop-off catering, all food is served on or in disposable platters, bowls, and chafing dishes. They are fully garnished and ready to serve.
For full-service catering, we set up and staff our catering buffet based on your specifications. Plated meal options are served individually.
Our in-home catering is flexible – you let us know if you want to use your dishes or ours for meal presentation & service.
Do you provide bar service?
We partner with a local liquor vendor to provide bar service for your event.
For in-home catering, you may provide your own beer, wine, or liquor for us to serve.
How much will my event cost?
Your catering bill will vary based on the number of people being served as well as which service options are included.
Since we cater a wide variety of events from casual family reunions & weddings to corporate luncheons & elaborate fundraising galas, we are familiar with working with budgets both big and small.
Most of the smaller drop-off catering orders that come through our kitchen start at a minimum of $350. Pricing for larger drop-off or full-service events varies based on number of guests, menu selections, and level of service.
Are server fees or gratuity included in the menu pricing?
Server fees (for full-service catering events) and gratuity are not included in the menu pricing. We will work with you one-on-one during your initial consultation to determine what level of service will be required for your event
What happens to my leftover food?
Your safety is our primary concern. We follow stringent food safety guidelines to ensure quality and freshness for you and your guests.
For most events, our staff is required to dispose of any leftover food. To discuss food handling related to your specific event, please give us as call at 763-521-1113.
